That’s why we need Community Supporters—caring volunteers who provide encouragement, connection, and the resources that help young people thrive.

You don’t need to be an engineer, a teacher, or a technology expert to make an impact. As a Community Supporter, your compassion, advocacy, and commitment are the most powerful tools you can offer.

Why Become a Community Supporter?

Many displaced youth face more than just educational challenges. They often struggle with loneliness, uncertainty, and lack of belonging. By volunteering as a Community Supporter, you will:

What Community Supporters Do

Community Supporters contribute in flexible ways based on their skills, time, and interests:

• Mentorship & Friendship: Offer guidance, encouragement, or language practice to help youth adjust.

• Program Support: Help with organizing training events, clean energy projects, or robotics workshops.

• Awareness Building: Share our mission on social media, host community gatherings, or connect Nova Haven to local networks.

• Fundraising Assistance: Support fundraising events, sponsor youth scholarships, or help spread the word about donation opportunities.

• Logistical Help: Volunteer at events, provide transportation support, or assist with resource distribution.

Skills We Look For

You don’t need professional training to become a Community Supporter. The most important skills are empathy, patience, and commitment. However, the following qualities are helpful:

• Strong communication and listening skills.

• Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

• Interest in youth development, social justice, or humanitarian work.
